Alan Rickman proposes helium challenge, calls out Benedict Cumberbatch on #FallonTonight

It seems like Alan Rickman is very aware that fans around the world like to impersonate him.

During his latest appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the actor presented the host with two helium filled balloons, which he dubbed as “truth-telling machines,” and questioned Fallon about the “Rickman-off” game he played with Benedict Cumberbatch in October 2013.

“I’m very sorry you were offended,” Fallon said in a squeaky voice after he inhaled from his blue balloon. He continued, “I am very, very sorry and welcome to the show.” “Apology accepted,” Rickman answered in an equally as high-pitched tone.

The playful exchange seems like it was all in good fun, especially when Rickman smiles at the end after the late night show host mentions that he and Cumberbatch are really big fans of his work.

At press time, Fallon’s clip featuring Cumberbatch has over 3.3 million views on YouTube and includes the two Rickman fans taking turns reading hip-hop and R&B lyrics by artists like Snoop Dogg, TLC and Sir-Mix-A-Lot in the voice of the “Harry Potter” star.

This isn’t this first time we’ve seen the red and blue helium balloons make a hilarious appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Helen Mirren was brave enough to get light-headed in March and was simply charming while answering Fallon’s questions about British cuisine and she even gave a fake acceptance speech while holding a stuffed panda bear.
