This year, I had the pleasure of being on the judging panel for the Prism Prize and today (Feb. 18), they have announced their short list!

According to the organization’s website, “The Prism Prize is a national, juried award established to recognize the artistry of the modern music video in Canada,” and jurors were asked to evaluate music videos based on “originality, creativity, style, innovation and effective execution.”

Featured in this year’s top ten are Canadian artists like Shad, Young Galaxy, The Belle Game, Arcade Fire (two mentions,) Jessy Lanza, Drake, Keys N Krates, Hollerado and Majical Cloudz.

The winning band or artist of the Prism Prize will walk away with a grand sum of $5,000 and you can participate in the audience award by heading here and casting your vote!
